Ground-breaking Ceremony for the Parking Structure and Technical Facilities at the New National Hospital

Ground was broken on May 19, 2022 for the new parking structure and technical building at Hringbraut, which is part of the New National Hospital Project. Manning the shovels were Willum Þór Þórsson, Health Minister, and Pétur Guðmundsson, Chariman of Eykt ehf., along with Rannveig Rúnarsdóttir from the National Hospital and Þóranna Elín Dietz from The University of iceland.

Nýja húsnæðið verður um 13.000 m² að stærð, 5 hæðir ásamt 3 hæðum neðanjarðar fyrir bílastæði. Groundwork for the building has already begun and completion is scheduled for the second half of 2024.
