Eykt has started the construction of two new 220 kV substation buildings for Landsnet hf. The work consists of groundwork, construction and finishing.
On Landsnet’s site at Rangárvellir, Akureyri, north of the existing 132 kV substation building, a new substation and a new transformer house will be built for three transformers and one coil. The other station is located on Hólasandur, on a corner of Krafla’s line 4, about 2 km north of highway no. 87. The substation is on one floor, which includes a switch room and a service area. The work is scheduled to be completed in October 2021.
