Discussions about moisture and mold in buildings have been widely debated in recent years, and we at Eykt want to increase our knowledge in that area to prevent such problems.
Björn Marteinsson, former associate professor in the Department of Environmental and Civil Engineering at the University of Iceland, is the country’s leading expert in moisture issues and indoor environmental quality. He conducted a course on the basics of moisture, construction moisture (excess moisture during the construction period), the moisture behavior of building materials, and measurement methods for moisture readings.
