Eykt has begun construction of a salmon hatchery at Norður-Botn in Tálknafjörður, West Iceland for Arctic Smolt hf. The main building is 4,200 m² with a total tank volume of about 7,200 m³.
Eykt’s task is the concrete and steel structure and outer shell of the so-called RAS building, which has two sections, each with 6 concrete hatchery tanks for salmon fry.
Work commenced in August 2021 and is scheduled for completion in early 2023.
